Hi Mary, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Audrey reads a lot by herself, but she still insists that we read together for 20 minutes or more each night before bed. She'll look at a book and decide "it has too many words", so that's the one I read to her. Then her imagination really takes flight! We love to go to the library together, and every year the school has a book fair. I get to pick a few out for her there (since I'm paying for them!) and she gets to pick a few. We love to shop together there, even though the titles are all from Scholastic and therefore somewhat limited. I can't stress how important it is to keep reading to your son! He'll do so much better in school, because he's learning to be a good listener, and to process what he hears. Write more soon!
