I read in Parent Magazine that toddlers eat most of their calories at breakfast and lunch. Dinner is more for socializing. It seema to mimick what my 2 yr old daughter is doing. I always make a point to offer something at dinner and we stay on a schedule so she knows what to expect. My son had GERD and was incredibly picky. I had to get really creative. I even let him pick out and help plan meals so that he felt he was in control of mealtime. He usually at least tried the stuff he made. We would make mini calzones, cut sandwiches with cookie cutters to make fun shapes, etc.
