About Us
Background:
Carrie Grange Isaacson, LCSW, has been working with families since 1994. She received a BA with Honors and Distinction from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. and then went on to receive an MSW from the Columbia University School of Social Work in New York. She currently holds a Social Work license to practice in New York and California. Carrie’s work is informed not only by years of training and clinical experience but most importantly by being a mother herself.
Ms. Grange Isaacson has worked with children and families in the public and private sectors, providing individual, group and family therapy; and teaching parenting skills for biological, foster and adoptive parents. Carrie has conducted trainings for other mental health, medical and legal professionals on attachment, trauma and child development. She has been qualified as an expert witness on child welfare, attachment and child custody matters. In 2002 she was appointed as an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University. Ms. Grange Isaacson also consults for Jewish Family Service of San Diego as an International Adoption Social Worker and for Best Start Birth Center of San Diego screening and counseling high risk patients.
Carrie enjoys working with diverse populations and is passionate about helping new families. Her practice specializes in counseling couples to become a resilient parenting team. “With so much emphasis on being the best mothers and fathers we can be, we lose track of the importance of being good partners. The Bringing Baby Home Program coupled with my consultation services helps couples build and maintain a secure parenting team that lasts a lifetime.”
To meet the needs of busy new parents, San Diego based Baby Maven, provides home based individual, couples and family therapy as well as phone coaching. In addition, Ms. Grange Isaacson is currently accepting applications from couples contemplating parenthood, couples expecting a child and couples of young children for upcoming Bringing Baby Home workshops around the country.
