Background:
Grandma El’s was formulated in early 1974 by a renowned skin care specialist and cosmetic chemist, Robert M. Posner, Grandma El’s husband. It was initially formulated for his son’s stubborn diaper dermatitis. When nothing worked to rid her son of the diaper rash, Grandma El turned to her husband and asked for him to make something to help their son. Down to the basement of their Long Island home Robert went, soon to emerge with what he felt would help comfort his only son. Overnight, Jonathan’s diaper rash was gone! They continued to use it with every diaper change, and Jonathan had seen his last diaper rash.
