Austin has just started walking and talking but we don't understand much of what he says. He turned one on Jan. 24th. I call myself Grandma and my husband Pop to him, we'll let him decide as he gets a little older, I can't wait. He just went home a couple of hours ago, he spent the night. I am so proud, his mom has a relative that is deaf and she is teaching him some sign language. He says more, thank you and is working on please. He teaching his Grandma, who says old dogs can't learn new tricks.

I also have a hard time holding my tongue sometimes. My DIL feels she can disipline my 5yo but I can't say anything about my grandkids. Of course my grandkids are little angels. (My words not hers). I love to spoil them and give them back. My youngest son sometimes gets jealous and tells me to stop holding the babies that I am his mommy. Of course after they leave he gets extra hugs and kisses. I'm not sure yet what my name is going to be. With so many stepparents now sometimes it's hard to keep up with what everybody wants to be called. I know that sounds like a crazy problem to worry about but leave it to me to hunt problems. Right now I think my husband and I are Grandma and Pop. I just can't wait for this summer when Austin is walking. I am looking so forward to going to the park and riding the train.
