The craziest thing happened over the weekend, something so insignificant in the long run and overall I do not condone what my daughter did. With all that being said though it was one of the proudest moments i have had with my daughter, seeing her become a little person. The act that brought this on was the fact she made a 5 yr old boy cry. Now she is 2 yrs old and is a pretty good kid all around, fun, outgoing, friendly, inquisitive, caring, sweet, etc. I think the inquisitive part of her took over and she went to grab a lollipop to see the color (she had one herself) and the boy pretty much burst into tears. Now my daughter like other 2 yr olds may occasionally push or hot other kids but never did she make one cry by just going for a lollipop.
To think a 5 yr old boy was crying from a 2 yr old girl is crazy but yet brought a smile to my face. I think is some convoluted way I see my daughter standing her ground and able to survive or better yet play in the world of other kids. Now I know that i can not encourage this behavior, she needs to respect boundaries, granted she first needs to learn about that but that will come with time.
So as a father who only sees the positives of what my daughter does I couldn't be prouder.
Oh well at baby mania I to take place is a children's playground near you, your daughter lets call her "The Lollipop" vs. my Daughter lets call her "I got your lollipop" will face off in a sand box full of lollipops. The daughter that crushes the most lollipops will win the bout.
It's on.....
