Any suggestions on double strollers for a two year age gap? Is side by side like the baby jogger the way to go or a tandem like Phil and Teds?
What are the pros and cons?

Well-we went with the Phil and Ted's and after a few months, I can say I am happy with our decision. The stroller is not perfect, it does not pack up well for the car or other travel, but it's easy to push and for walking around the city (NY) the fact that it's fairly narrow is great. Thanks for the great advice everyone.

I have two sons who are almost 2 and 7 weeks old. We decided to go with a side by side stroller for them. We got the chicco trevi double stroller and it works well. It fits through doors but it is tight, it is lighter then most double strollers, it folds down pretty small and it reclines even though it is considered lightweight. I usually have to put padding in it for my 7 week old because it doesnt have any but other then that it is great.

I'd look into the Valco single with the toddler seat attachment. I have the Valco double with a toddler seat attachment (makes it a triple - I have three under 3) and I really love the toddler seat. It's very easy to take on and off. The downside is that it can't recline but for a 2 year old it should be enough. It's a similar idea to the Phil and Ted's in that it's a single that can convert when necessary to a double, is narrower than a side by side yet has a good ride. I know someone that used it in the city with kids 11 months apart and loved it.

We have the Valco as well and i find that it is a bit bulky and has a lot of Velcro straps to pay around with. Not to mention we have yet to fold it up and have had it for 4 months. I will say that it is a pleasure to push, very easy. Here is a good site that will give you a breakdown on double strollers. http://www.babyfy.com/index.php/default/product/frmCatID/30/

We have the Valco twin for ours - 2.5 years difference. I didn't think my older child would sit in the back of P&Ts and the graco ones are great in the mall, but we walk A LOT... I liked the baby jogger, but the bug screen sunshade are extra...
